Ride Town Lake
Join us on a bike ride from Barton Springs, around Lady Bird Lake, and through downtown and learn about the intimate history between Austin and its river.
Texture the City is pleased to take you on ride around Lady Bird Lake, one of the most picturesque parts of Austin. A reservoir on the Colorado River, the Lake was created in 1960 and has been a popular recreational and tourist site ever since. This tour places special emphasis on the ways that the Colorado River has shaped Austin's history, beginning with Austin's founding in 1839 and continuing through the present.
